Mike was born in Ohio and moved to the Kitsap Penninsula with his military family as a young child. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Pacific Lutheran University in 1994 and completed law school at Seattle University in 1999. After law school he worked for several small practices in Kitsap County. In 2004 he moved to Seattle and worked for a large insurance company. He moved to Olympia in 2011 and joined a friend from law school in a personal injury practice. He was a partner with Morgan James PLLC until 2019.
Mike is a former catcher and an avid baseball fan. He and his wife, Andrea, and their teenage daughter enjoy all that Olympia has to offer.
